The hostel is new for late 2020. Although set in a Victorian building it is newly converted and has all the modern facilities you need; a well equipped kitchen, 2 common room areas, a large log burner, drying facilities, and a small shop.
The Kitchen
Dalwhinnie Hostel might be a smaller hostel but it has a very well equipped kitchen. It features 2 double ovens with 8 ceramic hobs between them, 2 microwaves, 2 double toasters, 2 kettles, a floor standing fridge and separate under counter freezer, as well as all the utensils you could need to prepare a banquet!
Common Room 1
The first common room is open plan with the kitchen and features a large log burner. It has a 70" TV with Sky TV and a Bluray DVD player. There are comfy sofas for relaxing on, a selection of outdoor and travel books and magazines for reference as well as board games and puzzles.
Common Room 2
The second common room features a selection of tables and chairs, a sofa, the original school blackboard and a Japanese arcade machine.
Hot Tub
The hostel has a large hot tub (6-7 adults) located in a summer house with beautiful views. There's a small charge for using; £6 an hour for up to 4 people and £8 an hour for up to 6 people.
